Ingredients:
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 2 tablespoons refined oil
- Salt to taste
- 1 cup chilled water
For filling
- 1 cup paneer finely chopped
- 1 Green bell-pepper finely chopped
- ½ Red bell pepper finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon garlic finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon green chilli sauce
- 1 tablespoon tomato sauce
- ½ tsp soy sauce
- ½ tsp black-pepper powder
- Salt to taste
- 1 tablespoon butter
Method
- Assemble all the ingredients and start by making pastry dough.
- Shift flour in a large mixing bowl adds salt, oil and mix to form crumbles.
- Start adding water and knead to make soft dough.
- Cover the dough and keep it aside to rest for 15 minutes.
- To prepare filling, heat oil in a pan, add chopped garlic, sauté it till golden.
- Add chopped green capsicum, red bell-pepper, salt, black-pepper and sauté till golden.
- Add all three sauces and stir well for 2-3 minutes.
- Add finely chopped paneer pieces into saucy mix and stir well.
- Set aside to cool.
For Making Paneer McPuff
- Pinch a large tennis ball size dough and roll to make a ball.
- Place the dough ball on the dusted counter and roll out to make a thin sheet.
- Cut the sheet into equal size squares with knife.
- Take 1 Tsp of filling and place on the centre of the square sheet.
- Wet your fingers and place another sheet over the above sheet with filling and press the sides gently.
- Make impressions with a fork across the sides to seal.
- Preheat the oven at 180 degree Celsius for 10 to 15 minutes and bake the Paneer Puffs for 15 to 20 minutes.
Serve them hot.
